Stephanie Sparks Joy and Connection Through Group Exercise
Meet Stephanie
Energizing Classes, Building Community

Meet Stephanie Kerr, Group Exercise Instructor at MVP Sportsplex. Since she was a teenager, Stephanie has had a passion for exercise and spent her time biking, rollerblading, and Dutch dancing. “When I couldn’t do those things, I would practice yoga and Pilates using VHS tapes in my parents’ basement,” she shared.
Now, she teaches Yoga, Body Balance, and YOGA Restore. Stephanie enjoys group exercise because it allows her to keep learning while making fitness accessible and fun! She especially enjoys interacting with and getting to know the loyal and welcoming community of members that fill her classes every week. “I consider myself a lifelong student and absolutely love learning new modalities of exercise. My goal is to spark the same enjoyment of movement in my students,” she said.
Stephanie’s favorite part of her role is the connections she’s built with both members and fellow instructors. She works hard to create a space of support and encouragement in every class. “I love seeing students make a new friend in class and seeing them continue that connection outside of class,” she added. When she’s not leading class, Stephanie enjoys hitting the fitness floor or attending classes she doesn’t teach, especially Body Combat. Outside the club, she spends time with her family, trains for races, strength trains, cooks and bakes, and loves to read. “My husband and two boys are everything to me, so spending time with them is my favorite,” she said.
