Meet Brendan and Admir
The Power of Structure
Admir found structure, accountability, and lasting results through personal training at MVP Metro.
When Admir first walked into MVP Metro Club in 2012, he was simply looking for a gym. What he found was a community, a routine, and eventually, a partnership that reshaped the way he approached fitness.
The downtown Grand Rapids location was convenient, the environment spotless and modern. As a former basketball, football, and track athlete, Admir was drawn to the energy of the club. He split his time between the weight room and group classes, often stretching his limits in Pilates and yoga. Fitness had always been important, but as life grew busier, he craved structure and accountability.
That’s when he decided to work with Brendan, a personal trainer at MVP Metro Club. Admir wanted someone to take the guesswork out of programming, to push him without forcing him to carry the burden of designing every workout himself.
What started as a simple commitment to weekly sessions quickly grew into something bigger. After just a few months, Admir began noticing the difference, both in and out of the gym. “I look better, I feel better, and I am stronger and more mobile,” he said. “It’s not just about lifting. I have more energy, I feel healthier, and I can take on my day with more confidence.”
Admir points to Brendan’s meticulous approach as the difference-maker. Every movement is purposeful, every rep is counted, every exercise is adapted to his needs. “He modifies programming for your personal needs and wants,” Admir explained. “He pushes you to be stronger in a very healthy manner, and he’s fully engaged during each session.”
That dedication is exactly what fuels Brendan’s passion for training. “I enjoy seeing Admir push himself and actively pursue his goals,” Brendan said. “I also appreciate the feedback he gives me as it helps me grow as a trainer. Plus, we’ve built a great rapport. The conversations we share each session are just as meaningful as the workouts.”
Over time, Admir realized personal training had become a cornerstone in his life. “Most of us think, ‘I can work out alone,’ and that’s true,” he said. “But you won’t understand the value of working with a trainer until you give yourself a few months of working with one on a regular schedule. You’ll see how much improvement you gain in every aspect.”
Now, after more than a year of training together, Admir still looks forward to each session. He’s not just stronger in body, but also more confident in spirit, which he credits to both the MVP Metro Club’s environment and Brendan’s commitment. “Metro is such an amazing location and environment. I truly enjoy coming here and am proud to be a member,” Admir said. “Brendan is the best trainer I’ve ever had.”
