"My journey started after my dad passed away, who was healthy, of a fluke heart attack from a blood clot they don’t know where from and my struggle with weight through my teen years I fell into a unhealthy downward spiral pushing me to almost 400 pounds when I was 19.
With the threat of high triglycerides, blood pressure, and cholesterol showing signs of what the doctor called "early death," I decided to change my life. I started to meet regularly with a doctor mandated dietitian and exercise regularly. I had to do a fair amount of research on weight loss since my background was football and power lifting, I needed a new approach.
After spending so much time in the gym and focusing all my time on nutrition, weight loss, and becoming healthy it became a passion and a lifestyle. After two years of engineering at GVSU I switched my major to exercise science so that I could help others in my shoes. I graduated with a bachelor in exercise science from GVSU and am working on my masters in human movement at A.T. Still University, and now am NACA CPT, NASM PES, and NASM CES certified. My passion now is to help those who are stuck like I was and sports rehabilitation."
