Group Swim Lessons
Adult group lessons are designed for swimmers of all skill levels. The program will be individualized, with each participant working on skills they desire to develop. Whether you want to learn to be comfortable in the water, improve your breathing and body position, or perfect your strokes, this is the class for you.

Fitness Swimming
The fitness swim class is geared for anyone from a novice swimmer to an expert swimmer who wants a cool and refreshing way to exercise. Your instructor will assess your current swimming skills, consider your fitness objectives and help you design a fitness swimming workout that meets your needs and skill level. The class will include the 12-minute Cooper Swim Test as an evaluation and an improvement tool.

Adult Private Lessons
Each individual is taught by one instructor and can progress at his or her own pace. Lessons are scheduled based upon instructor and student availability. Lessons are available in 15-, 30-or 60- minute sessions. Times and dates for the lessons are determined between you and the instructor. Receive a complimentary 30-minute lesson if you buy a package of four hours of private lessons. Please call the Aquatics office and leave you contact information so an instructor may arrange lessons with you.

Lifeguard Readiness - Ages 8+
This course is designed to teach students how to refine their strokes to swim with more ease, efficiency, power and smoothness over greater distances. Skills will be introduced and practiced that are required to successfully complete the prerequisite requirements for the Lifeguard Certification Program.

Stroke Technique Clinic
Designed to provide adult swimmers with the opportunity to refine their stroke technique learn the science of swimming and develop speed in the water. Clinic is for Masters Swimmers, and Triathletes. It will give swimmers new confidence and skills to advance their personal swimming goals.

Lifeguarding Certification - Ages 15+
Are you interested in becoming a lifeguard? You must be 15 years of age or older and be able to attend all classes. At the first session of the class, you must successfully complete the prerequisite skills test. The test includes a 300 yard continuous swim, and the retrieval of and swimming with a 10-pound brick. Your training will include: how to recognize and respond effectively to all emergencies in and around the water, emergency rescue techniques, CPR, First Aid and AED training. The fee includes all books, supplies and use of all equipment.

Lifeguard Re-Certification
This class allows a lifeguard to recertify with CPR/AED for the Lifeguard and/or Lifeguarding and First Aid. The participant must have passed their Lifeguarding course within the past four years in order to recertify.

Water Safety Instructor
As a Red Cross certified Water Safety instructor, you are authorized to teach the Red Cross Learn to Swim program-Levels 1 through 6; Parent and Child Aquatics programs; the new Preschool Aquatics Program; water safety outreach programs for schools, and community centers; Basic Water Rescue and Home Pool Safety courses. We must have a minimum of 6 registered by the Monday before the class begins in order to teach the class. Attendance is required at all sessions.
