Our Well-Fit active aging fitness programming is available to ALL athletic club members at no additional cost!

MVP’s Well-Fit classes and programs were designed for aging members (60+ or older) who are ready to improve and maintain their lives by staying active, fit, healthy, social, and educated through MVP’s comprehensive wellness programming and amenities.

 

You do not need to be eligible for a Medicare-sponsored membership to participate in Well-Fit classes and programming. To learn if you are eligible for a Medicare-sponsored membership at no cost to you, please see below!

 

WELL-FIT SOCIALS

Hosted regularly

Find your community! Reconnect with other healthy aging Members (60+ or older), within our MVP community. Our Well-Fit Socials will be hosted regularly at rotating MVP Athletic Club locations. Socials will feature educational speakers, workshops, or fun activities or events. All socials will focus on healthy aging, overall well-being, and establishing a community for all Well-Fit programming participants. See the list below for upcoming events.

Well-Fit by MVP

MEDICARE PROGRAM

MVP Athletic Clubs partner with several Health Plans that provide a NO-COST membership to access all MVP Athletic Club locations!

If you have Medicare Advantage (MA) or Medicare Supplemental (MS) plans provided by a Health Plan Provider, you may be eligible.

  • Priority Health
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBS- MI) and Blue Care Network (BCN – MI)
  • Health Alliance Plan of Michigan (HAP)
  • United Healthcare

 

Your Questions Answered
Will I have limited access to the club?
NO. Your membership will include ALL ATHLETIC CLUB AMENITIES available to our other active members. Although you may be interested in participating in our Well-Fit specific group classes and programming, you are not limited to these. * If you'd like to purchase an upgrade to your membership for a fee, you are able to do that out of pocket to gain access to our Work-Space locations and receive other perks of our All-Star membership.
Do I pay monthly membership dues to MVP if eligible for a Medicare Membership?
No. As a Medicare Member, your monthly membership dues are paid for by your Health Care Plan.
Am I required to put a credit card on file?
Yes. This is for house-charging privileges only. If you don’t accrue any monthly house charges, your credit card will not be charged
Can my spouse take advantage of this membership?
Only individual policy plan holders are eligible. If only one spouse is eligible, the other spouse would be the Primary member and pay applicable membership dues.

SENIOR FITNESS CLASSES

Check out one of our Well-Fit fitness classes! Each class is 45 minutes in length and was designed with an active aging population in mind. Specific times for each class vary by location and can be found on each Athletic Clubs’ fitness schedule.

Well-Fit Classes
WELL-FIT Yoga
Renew both your mind and body by connecting your breath with movement. Reduce your stress as you are guided through modified vinyasas (yoga poses and flow) that will restore. Yoga focuses on improving strength, flexibility and balance.
  • Experience Level: Low, no experience required
  • Mobility Level: Includes both seated stretching and standing poses
WELL-FIT Mobility
Restore in this mat-based class. Using the floor to ground your body, individuals will be led through targeted stretches, core strengthening movements allowing room for modifications as needed. WELL-FIT Mobility focuses on increasing core strength through Pilates based movements, flexibility through static stretching and yoga poses that will lead to feeling better and being more mobile.
  • Experience Level: Low, no experience required
  • Mobility Level: Seated, mat-based class – at times come to knees but always have modifications to choose from
WELL-FIT Move
Recharge and Revitalize through circuit-based cardio and strength training. Work through fitness stations using cardio and strength equipment with OPTIONAL heart rate tracking on your personal fitness monitor. Participants can work at their own pace and are led through a series of targeted cardio, total body strength and balance exercises. 
  • Experience Level: Moderate
  • Mobility Level: Moderate
WELL-FIT Aquatics
Refresh your fitness routine through a water based conditioning classes. These low impact classes will focus on gaining muscle and strength through the resistance of moving through the water. Participants with muscular or back pain, or those who have experienced a recent injury will find this class to be an instrumental step in their recovery. WELL-FIT Aquatics classes focus on full body recovery by rebuilding muscle and strength. All WELL-FIT aquatics classes are 60 minutes in length.
  • Experience Level: Low – need to know how to swim
  • Mobility Level: Low

WELL-FIT Cycle
This new indoor cycling format is 30 minutes long and designed for cyclists looking to learn more about the bike and wanting a moderately-paced cardio workout. Work on increasing endurance, core stability, and leg strength. Ride flat roads, climb hills, and introduce a variety of intervals.
